►Session 1: Overview of the Disaster Networking Collaborative

    • Disasters don’t wait—and children can’t afford to be an afterthought. This on-demand training is designed for pediatric healthcare professionals, including nurses, physicians, EMTs, and emergency planners, who want to strengthen their hospital’s disaster readiness. Through real-world lessons from the Disaster Networking Collaborative, this series explores strategies for a children's hospital to improve its pediatric disaster infrastucture and preparedness. Recorded sessions from this program are now available on demand, with continuing education (CE) credit available for physicians and nurses. Whether you’re on the frontlines or in a leadership role, you’ll gain practical tools to help protect the most vulnerable when it matters most.

      Important Information About Credit & Certificates

      This activity includes 10 on-demand videos. 

      • Continuing Education (CE) credit is available for eligible clinicians. 

      • Participation certificates are also available for learners who are not seeking CE credit.

       

      Important: Watching a video alone does not trigger CE credit or certificates. 

      For each video, you must: 

      • Watch the video on PPN Learn 

      • Go to the learning survey at the end of the video by clicking the button or going to the link 

      • Receive the attendance code 

      • Log in or create an account 

      • Complete the evaluation and quiz

      Each video has its own survey and attendance code.  Your attendance code and next-step instructions will appear at the end of the survey and will also be sent to you by email.

      • Understand how to define clear pediatric disaster roles and responsibilities and maintain leadership support for pediatric preparedness
      • See how hospitals work together and outreach to Emergency Management organizations to improve disaster planning for children in their communities

      Continuing Education (CE) credit is available for this activity for physicians and nurses. Information regarding continuing education credit and instructions for how to claim credit are provided in the recordings.
