Team Discussion

Mission

The mission of the Pediatric Pandemic Network is to leverage the resources and expertise of children’s hospitals in collaboration with national partners to empower all healthcare systems and their communities to be prepared to provide high-quality, equitable pediatric care in everyday emergencies, disasters, and global health threats.

Vision

The vision of the Pediatric Pandemic Network is for all children and families to receive high-quality, equitable care in everyday emergencies, disasters, and global health threats.

Our History

Since the COVID-19 pandemic, PPN has been at the forefront of sharing resources and expertise to address the systemic shortcomings in pediatric care, striving to build resilient healthcare systems that can effectively respond to both current and future crises.

We aim to ensure that no child is left behind, and that their health and well-being remain a top priority in all disaster preparedness and response efforts. We work to foster collaboration among healthcare providers, support innovative research tailored to the unique needs of the pediatric population, and real-time dissemination of research-informed pediatric care for future pandemics.
