Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Enroll in Content

PPN Learn offers several ways to access and enroll in educational content. The enrollment method depends on how a course, curriculum, or resource has been configured.

Open Access

Content identified as Open Access does not require a PPN account or login. You can open the resource and begin using it immediately. Example of Open Access content.

Open Access is commonly used for resources that do not require individual progress or completion tracking.

Self-Enrollment

Some content requires you to have a PPN account and log in, but you can enroll yourself without assistance from a course facilitator.

When you select the course or activity, follow the prompts to log in or create a PPN account if you do not already have one. After signing in, select the available enrollment option to join the course.

Self-enrollment is commonly used for self-paced courses and modules so that you can track your progress and course creators can better understand learner participation.

Self-Enrollment with an Enrollment Key

Some courses use self-enrollment with an enrollment key. You will still enroll yourself, but you must enter a course-specific key before you can access the course.

To enroll:

  1. Go to PPN Learn and select
    Log in button image.
    .
  2. Log in to your PPN account or select Sign in or sign up with another account. New users will be asked to verify their email address, create a password, and complete brief demographic information.
  3. Navigate to the enrollment page for the course you wish to join.
  4. Enter the enrollment key provided by the course organizer in the Enrollment Options area and select Enroll Me.
Self enrollment key input box and Enroll me button image.
  5. After successful enrollment, you can begin accessing the course.

Enrollment keys may be limited to a particular program, organization, or learner group. Do not share an enrollment key unless the course organizer has indicated that you may do so.

If you were told that a course requires an enrollment key but did not receive one, contact the course or program organizer who invited you to participate.

Facilitator-Enrollment

Some content requires both a PPN account and enrollment by a course facilitator, teacher, or administrator. You cannot enroll yourself in these courses.

Facilitator-enrollment is commonly used for cohort-based programs or courses with a defined participant group. Once the facilitator confirms that you have been enrolled, log in to PPN Learn and look for the course under My courses. This is consistent with the current FAQ’s facilitator-enrollment process.

If you believe you should have access but do not see the course after logging in, contact your course facilitator or PPN Learn Support for assistance.
